Welcome to the web site for the CSXT Shenandoah Division![NOTE: Effective March 31, 2010, all new content related to the CSX Shenandoah Division will be placed on the CSX Shenandoah Division blog. Read the blog page on this site as well as the welcome post on the blog for more details.] This web site exists for the purpose of documenting the design, construction, and operations of the CSXT Shenandoah Division, a N scale model railroad owned by B.L. and C.F. Faulkner. This web site is NOT affiliated with nor endorsed by CSX Corporation, CSX Transportation, Norfolk Southern Corporation, or any other railroad entity.
The original N scale CSXT Shenandoah Division layout existed from August 1996 to May 2001. The Original Layout link will take you to some photos of that layout (primarily taken at the last operating sessions), and there are some pictures of the crew as well. A new CSXT Shenandoah Division layout has been designed for a new home and construction has started, so everything else on this web site applies to the new railroad and is subject to revision as the layout is built. Follow the Design, Construction, and Operations links for more information. The layout plans are contained in the Design area, while progress reports will be published periodically in the Construction section, so be sure to check back often and follow the work on the Shenandoah Division. Use the links on the left and at the top of each page to navigate the site. Check the What's New page for the latest updates to the site. As of January 27, 2002, the "original" construction drafts of the design
for the railroad were available for review. However, on March 23, 2003, I
posted the "final" construction drafts of the design for the railroad
incorporating changes into the design of both levels of the layout. Be sure to
visit the Layout
Plans area of the Design section to see the
latest plans. On March 19, 2005, the first "real" operating session was held on the
Shenandoah Division (check out the description in the
03/19/2005 Operating Session Report)!
Additional operating session reports can be found in the
Operations section. In addition to the progress reports posted in the Construction section, there is also a list of Construction Mileposts which is updated as significant items are accomplished. Thanks for visiting the CSXT Shenandoah Division web site! Be sure to take a look around if you'd like to learn more about my railroad as it has evolved over the last few years. NOTE: Effective March 31, 2010, all
new content related to the CSX Shenandoah Division will be placed on the
CSX Shenandoah Division blog.
